• Some RCT evidence suggests that antifungal shampoos can reduce the period of active shedding in patients treated with oral antifungals.

• Existing RCT evidence indicates that corticosteroids used with griseofulvin for inflammatory tinea capitis (kerion) give no additional or faster improvement.
