No systematic reviews or RCTs were found. One non-randomised non-controlled open prospective study of 12 patients treated with minocycline, 200 mg/day, for 12 months was found.53 Notably, antimalarial therapy had failed in most patients prior to entering the study. Eight of the study participants had complete regression of their lesions, two had partial regression and treatment failed in two (one progressed and one remained stable). After withdrawal of therapy, three out of the 10 responders relapsed.
