There is no good evidence to recommend a dosage regimen with fluconazole for tinea capitis in children. Observational studies suggest that continuous 6 mg/kg/day for 3 weeks or intermittent 6-8 mg/kg/week for 4-8 weeks may be effective. Fluconazole is not licensed for this indication in children in some countries.
