Patients with signs of toxicity or a history of a large, ingested dose, especially if coexisting risk factors increase susceptibility to digitalis toxicity should be admitted to a monitored unit. Contacting the local poison center and medical toxicologist can facilitate difficult management and treatment decisions regarding when to administer Digibind.
