Combining All Three Natural Methods

Many women keep a daily chart of all three methods: rhythm, BBT, and cervical mucus. Over a period of several months, these charts will help you keep track of your cycles and determine when you are ovulating. When used together, these three methods are fairly accurate at tracking fertility for most women.

Sometimes, for various reasons, these techniques don't work. Despite accurate record keeping, you and your doctor may not be able to determine whether ovulation is occurring. In such a case, the doctor may recommend that you try a slightly more sophisticated test called the ovulation predictor test.
