Reduce Your Stress

De-stressing your life is easier said than done. The emotional stress of family, work, and daily chores can be taxing on anyone. When you add fertility issues into the mix, your stress levels may go off the charts.

Stress may be the cause of migraine headaches, backaches, ulcers, and a host of other common physical ailments. Is it any wonder that stress might also interfere with the reproductive process? Stress can cause you to stop ovulating and your menstrual periods to become irregular.

Recognize stress for what it is. One of the best things that you can do for yourself is to release that burden. Reducing the stress in your life can improve your overall general health and well-being. De-stressing can even greatly boost your fertility.

Hard scientific data is lacking, but some clinics in the United States claim to have increased fertility rates with meditation, yoga, visualization, and relaxation techniques. We may not completely understand how it works, but many health care providers believe that an important mind and body connection exists. Why not try it out and reap the benefits? You may want to enroll in a yoga or meditation class. Perhaps you could try something as simple as a deep breathing relaxation exercise each day. Some women find comfort in quiet time and prayer. Other women enjoy the interaction of a support group or learn stress-management techniques from a trained counselor.

Whatever you choose, reducing the stress in your life will undoubtedly improve your quality of life. And it just may boost your fertility as well.
