It has been noted that migraineurs have slightly more MRI hyperintensities than do age-matched control subjects, and it is possible that episodic intracerebral vasoconstriction participates in their development. Clinical mainfestations of these changes have not been established, and no specific treatment other than migraine control is indicated.
