MEN 2 is an inherited autosomal dominant disorder due to hereditary germline one amino acid point mutation in the RET gene (chromosomal locus 10q11.2).[5-7] It is a proto-oncogene composed of 21 exons over 55 kb of genomic material. It codes for a receptor tyrosine kinase receptor, termed ret, with extracellular, transmembrane, and intracellular domains.
