Genetic Testing

Mutations in disease genes can be detected after gene amplification by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), followed by a mutation screening technique (single-strand conformation polymorphism, denaturing high-performance liquid chromatography, or others) and finally by sequencing. These techniques are highly specific, if different conditions are analyzed and if the PCR primers largely surround the exons and important intronic sites. The sensitivity depends on several factors, particularly one cannot exclude the implication of another as-yet identified gene and/or that PCR primers may hide a point mutation.

Without all of the belts and artificial stabilizers of a machine, you also engage your core muscles, which are your body's natural stabilizers.
