Technical Description

The MLPA technique permits relative quantification of up to 45 different target sequences in an easy to perform reaction. In MLPA, specially designed oligo-nucleotide probes are hybridized to their specific DNA sequences in the DNA sample, ligated, and then amplified in a multiplex PCR. Each gene-specific probe consists of two oligonucleotides and each oligonucleo-tide has a gene-specific part and a universal sequence part used for amplification.
