Everyone knows how crucial water is for our bodies but not everyone can follow a hydration plan. One needs to make sure to drink enough water daily, otherwise living a healthy lifestyle is pretty close to impossible.

Dehydration and over-hydration can both lead to devastating effects therefore, these tips not only help you to drink more water but they help you to keep your drinking level balanced helping you avoid the consequences of:

  • Low Blood pressure
  • Kidney problems
  • Intense delirium
  • Skin dryness and infections

This is required for the body to function properly with better brain mechanism, transfer of nutrition, glowing skin and smoothly functioning organs but we know routine and consistency is one of the hardest things to do, so here are some tips to help you to drink more water:

Make drinking more water a habit!

Now duh, that's not as simple as it sounds so you can simply keep reminding yourself that you need to drink more water or simply set an alarm/reminder on your phone. These reminders can be according to your preferences, some of the regular helpful reminders are of these timings:

  • After you wake up (even after naps) to activate internal organs
  • After taking a shower as your skin has lost all of its moisture and your body is dehydrated, it will also help with lowering blood pressure
  • Before each meal to help with digestion
  • After physical activities to maintain body temperature, regain energy, lubricate joints and much more.

Buy a Reusable Water Bottle and Carry it with you wherever you go

Your reusable water bottle by your side will catch your attention every now and then reminding you to drink some water on the go! Water will help you stay energized and super active which are definitely the essentials of being outside in hectic environments.

Eat more fruits and veggies

From Cucumbers, tomatoes, Spinach, and Broccoli to Brussel sprouts, oranges and apples, all of these fruits and veggies are above 80% water which makes them extremely hydrating and great for your fluid intake.

Buy a water filter (it helps you drink better quality water)

According to the World Health Organization globally, at least 2 billion people use a drinking water source contaminated with feces. Drinking water is great only if the water is purified as impure water causes diarrhea, Gastrointestinal problems, Dehydration, pain and in extreme cases even death. So, it is important that you make sure to keep yourself hydrated with hygienic, pure and healthy water.

Limit your Daily intake of Sugary Drinks and Drink Water instead

Apart from excessing weight gain, decreasing bone strength and increasing teeth problems, sugary drinks contribute to several other health problems as well. Replacing it with water would not only help with hydration but would also minimize your risk of being associated with dangerous diseases.

Make your water taste better (add fresh fruits or fruit juices)

Adding fresh fruits, and fruits juices would add taste to your boring and tasteless water which can help you drink more of it.

People are prone to be bored of consuming the same thing regularly; therefore, diversifying your intake will lead to motivation for hydration.

It certainly is a villain to your efforts of balancing hydration intakes, So, avoiding it is the best while limiting is the least you could do to save yourself from awful diseases caused by both alcohol and dehydration.
