Respiratory disease covers a wide range of disorders and interest has grown in the provision of its nutritional support. Epidemiological studies suggest that dietary habits influence lung function and the tendency to common lung diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and lung cancer.
